Kitchens
The single biggest reason to install casement. Cooking heat and steam vent faster, and reaching over a counter to crank is easier than wrestling with a single-hung sash.
Casement · Impact Window
Casement windows combine maximum ventilation, expansive view, and structural security in three functional configurations.

Colors & Finishes
The casement cranks open like a door for full top-to-bottom airflow and an unobstructed view — and seals tight against wind-driven rain when closed. Click a frame finish and glass tint to preview your configuration.

Bilingual, every step of the way.
When to choose casement
Casements make sense any time ventilation matters more than cost. The entire sash swings clear of the opening, so you get full airflow across the glass area — not the 50% you'd get from a single-hung.
Best use cases
Casement isn't the right answer for every opening — but in the spots below, it's the clear winner over single-hung or sliding.
The single biggest reason to install casement. Cooking heat and steam vent faster, and reaching over a counter to crank is easier than wrestling with a single-hung sash.
Catch the prevailing breeze, especially in bay-facing or yard-facing walls where airflow makes the room more usable year-round.
High windows above counters or large furniture — turn a crank instead of pushing up a heavy sash from an awkward angle.
Where a sliding window would be too wide and a single-hung doesn't open enough to ventilate the room properly.
Trade-offs to know about
More mechanical parts than single-hung. In salt-air areas (within ½ mile of water), we spec stainless steel operators standard; coated steel is available on cost-sensitive projects.
Casement screens mount inside the frame because the sash swings out. A small adjustment most clients don't mind — and screens cover the full opening when the window is open.
Configurations
Available in multiple functional configurations to match how the opening will be used — from a side-hinged crank-out to a fixed-look companion that seals shut for a uniform exterior.
Opens outward smoothly like a door, operating via a premium mechanical handle. Maximum ventilation — the entire sash swings clear of the opening.
Engineered to look exactly like an operable casement but remains fixed and sealed for a clean, uniform exterior appearance across your property.
Top-hinged and engineered to swing outward from the bottom, offering distinct structural styling and ventilation layout options — great for openings where you want airflow during light rain.
Versatile engineering & code compliance
Casements engineered for high-velocity hurricane zones with a structurally reinforced heavy-duty profile. Code-compliant for residential, commercial, and multi-family applications — and certified for emergency egress when specified with the right configuration and sizing.
Engineered to satisfy strict Florida Product Approval protocols. Fully certified to defend properties against high-velocity hurricane zones and destructive projectile impacts.
Formulated with a structurally reinforced heavy-duty profile that makes them an excellent fit for residential, commercial, and multi-family construction.
Designed with emergency escape code compliance in mind. Units meet legal egress dimensions when specified with the appropriate configuration and sizing options.
Core performance & size specifications
All three casement configurations share the same 2 3/4″ frame depth and Florida-approved core. The differences come down to how each opens (or doesn’t) and the maximum size each variant supports.
